A Happy pupil enjoying the day

The Gilston Estate hosted a great day out on the 9th June for 250 school children from Methilhill, Buckhaven, Mountfleurie, St Agathas and Kennoway primary schools. The day was funded by donations from The Lumsden Club of St Andrews (who had their party in the park at Gilston earlier in the year) and receipts from the Gilston Garden opening, all very necessary as buses are expensive. RHET - the Royal Highland Educational Trust -  organised the day which introduced the children to many aspects of life on an Estate. Almost 50 volunteers gave their time for free to make it a very special and memorable occasion for everyone involved.
